JAGA 7 SUNNAH RASULULLAH S.A.W
Assalamu'alaikum WR WB, JAGA 7 SUNNAH RASULULLAH S.A.WAlhamdulillah, I came across this article which I want to share with you readers =): From: www.iluvislam.com "Cerdasnya orang yang beriman adalah, dia yang mampu mengolah hidupnya yang sesaat, yang sekejap untuk hidup yang panjang. Hidup bukan untuk hidup, tetapi hidup untuk Yang Maha Hidup. Hidup bukan untuk mati, tapi mati itulah untuk hidup. Kita jangan takut mati, jangan mencari mati, jangan lupakan mati, tapi rindukan mati. Kerana, mati adalah pintu berjumpa dengan Allah SWT. Mati bukanlah cerita dalam akhir hidup, tapi mati adalah awal cerita sebenarnya, maka sambutlah kematian dengan penuh ketakwaan. Hendaknya kita selalu menjaga tujuh sunnah Nabi setiap hari. Ketujuh sunnah Nabi SAW itu adalah: Pertama: tahajjud, kerana kemuliaan seorang mukmin terletak pada tahajjudnya. Kedua: membaca Al-Qur'an sebelum terbit matahari Alangkah baiknya sebelum mata melihat dunia, sebaiknya mata membaca Al-Qur'an terlebih dahulu dengan penuh pemahaman. Ketiga: jangan tinggalkan masjid terutama di waktu shubuh. Sebelum melangkah kemana pun langkahkan kaki ke masjid, kerana masjid merupakan pusat keberkahan, bukan kerana panggilan muadzin tetapi panggilan Allah yang mencari orang beriman untuk memakmurkan masjid Allah. Keempat: jaga solat dhuha, kerana kunci rezeki terletak pada solat dhuha. Kelima: jaga sedekah setiap hari. ![]() Salam 'Alaik =)

Distress
I received most of my results today. As of now, i've underperformed. Results were unexpected. Currently, I feel upset and distraught but there's nothing I can do but redha and doa. Alhamdulillah, I managed to find some motivation.
DUA FOR DISTRESS Allahumma rahmataka arjoo falaa takilnee ilaa nafsee tarfata 'aynin wa aslih-lee sha'nee kullahu, laa ilaha illa anta "O Allah! It is Your mercy that I hope for so do not leave me in charge of my affairs even for a blink of an eye and rectify for me all of my affairs. None has the right to be worshipped except You." Salam 'Alaik.

Patience (Sabr), Perseverance, and Prayer (Du'a & Solat)
Assalamu'alaikum WR WB
The topic I'd like to post today is about Sabr or Patience in Islamic context. A famous quote we usually hear is "Patience is Virtue" and more. However, there is more to patience in Islam and Islam has thought us how to succeed in being patient. Especially for Singaporeans like me where living as a minority isn't so pleasant and being a student in Singapore isnt so pleasurable either. It is undeniable that there many tests or moments of sadness we muslims go through and during times of deep trial, despair, and sadness, Muslims seek comfort and guidance in the words of Allah in the Qur'an. Allah reminds us that all people will be tried and tested in life, and calls upon Muslims to bear these trials with "patient perseverance and prayer." Indeed, Allah reminds us that many people before us have suffered and had their faith tested; therefore we are also tried and tested in this life. There are dozens upon dozens of verses that remind Muslims to be patient and trust in Allah during these times of trial. Among them: "Seek Allah's help with patient perseverance and prayer. It is indeed hard except for those who are humble." (Al-Baqara:45) "Oh you who believe! Seek help with patient perseverance and prayer, for God is with those who patiently persevere." (Al-Baqara:153) "Be sure We shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods, lives, and the fruits of your toil. But give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere. Those who say, when afflicted with calamity, 'To Allah we belong, and to Him is our return.' They are those on whom descend blessings from their Lord, and mercy. They are the ones who receive guidance." (Al-Baqara:155-157) "Oh you who believe! Persevere in patience and constancy. Vie in such perseverance, strengthen each other, and be pious, that you may prosper." (Al-i-Imran:200) "And be steadfast in patience, for verily Allah will not suffer the reward of the righteous to perish." (Hud:115) "Be patient, for your patience is with the help of Allah." (An-Nahl:127) "Patiently, then, persevere - for the Promise of Allah is true, and ask forgiveness for your faults, and celebrate the praises of your Lord in the evening and in the morning." (Al-Ghafir:55) "No one will be granted such goodness except those who exercise patience and self-restraint, none but persons of the greatest good fortune." (Fussilat:35) "Verily man is in loss, except such as have faith, and do righteous deeds, and join together in the mutual enjoining of truth, and of patience and constancy." (Al-Asr:2-3) As Muslims, we should not let our emotions get the better of us. It is certainly difficult for a person to look at the tragedies of the world today and not feel helpless and sad. But believers are called to put their trust in their Lord, and not to fall into despair or hopelessness. We must continue to do what Allah has called us to do: put our trust in Him, perform good deeds, and stand as witnesses for justice and truth. As students like me, sometimes things don't usually go our way but Allah has set aside our rezeki that is meant for us. Allah knows what is best for us and remember not to give up despite going through rough times in our studies or life as mentioned in the Firman below: Verily, with every difficulty there is relief. "It is not righteousness that you turn your faces towards East or West. Reference:

Friendship
Assalamu’alaikum WR WB =),
I’ve decided to dedicate my 1st post to Friendship. We live in a world full of interacting and meeting people. Islam has strongly encouraged us Muslims to strengthen the bond of Silaturrahim. Furthermore, humans have always been social beings and in need of friends and companions. For us Muslims who are living in a society where we are clearly a minority, the issue of choosing right companions is vital for preserving our Deen. Befriending righteous and virtuous Muslims is an essential means for staying on the Straight Path. Strong individuals, on the other hand, are the core of a strong community, something that Muslims should always strive for. However, we should never neglect those whom we know that have strayed from the true path and constantly recite doa for them. Insya’Allah we will be rewarded with Taufiq and Hidayah from Allah to be mukmins and the Ummah shall rise. Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) who has the most noble character and dealings with fellow humans gave us a very clear and simple message and advice in regard to friendship. FIRMAN: Allah the Exalted says in the Qur'an: "Friends on that Day will be enemies one to another, except al-Muttaqoon (i.e. those who have Taqwah)." [43:67] HADITH: The Noble Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) said: "A person is likely to follow the faith of his friend, so look at whom you befriend." In another Hadith, Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) said: "The example of a good companion and a bad companion is like that of the seller of musk, and the one who blows the blacksmith's bellows. So as for the seller of musk then either he will grant you some, or you buy some from him, or at least you enjoy a pleasant smell from him. As for the one who blows the blacksmith's bellows then either he will burn your clothes or you will get an offensive smell from him." The noble Prophet (SAW) pointed to the value of good company when he said that it is better to be alone than in the company of the wicked, and it is better to be in the company of the good than to be alone. The Prophet (SAW) was asked: "What is the person that can be the best friend?" "He who helps you when you remember God, and he who reminds you when you forget Him," the Prophet (SAW) replied. Then he (SAW) was asked, "And which friend is the worst?" "He who does not help you when you remember God and does not remind you of God when you forget," he replied. Then he was again asked, "Who is the best among people?" He replied, "He who when you look at him, you remember God." When Zaid ibn Harithah (ra), the servant of Muhammad (SAW), was killed at the battle of Mu'tah, the Prophet (SAW) said: "Zayd strove in the path of God sincerely as he should. Today he has met his Lord, and he is serene." Thereafter, Zayd's daughter found the Prophet (SAW) weeping over the dead body of her father and said: "What do I see?" The noble Prophet (SAW), with tears in his eyes, said: "A friend weeping for his friend." Through such actions and sentiments, the Prophet (SAW) showed his gentleness and true human friendship and brotherhood. SAYINGS BY KHALIFAH: Ali Ibn Abi Talib (ra) Says: "The poor is one who does not have any friend." Ali Ibn Abi Talib (ra) Says: "Live amongst people in such a manner that if you die they weep over you and if you are alive they crave for your company (friendship)." Ali Ibn Abi Talib (ra) Says: "Friendship transfers a stranger in to a relative." Ali Ibn Abi Talib (ra) Says: "Do not choose as your friend the enemy of your friend." Ali Ibn Abi Talib (ra) Says: "Two true friends are a single soul in different bodies." Ali Ibn Abi Talib (ra) Says: "He who discards a friend for slight offence risks loneliness." Ali Ibn Abi Talib (ra) Says: "In time of distress a man can distinguished between his friend and enemy." Ali Ibn Abi Talib (ra) Says: "Be not friend with a fool, for he will harm you while meaning to do good to you." Ali Ibn Abi Talib (ra) Says: "It is better to listen to a wise enemy than to seek counsel from a foolish friend." Ali Ibn Abi Talib (ra) Says: "Keep away from friendship of liar surely he will show you as near what is far from you and will show as far what is near you." Ali Ibn Abi Talib (ra) Says: "If a friend envies you, then he is not a true friend." Ali Ibn Abi Talib (ra) Says: "Verily, there are three (types of) friends for a Muslim, a) The friend who says: I am with you whether you are alive or dead', and this is his deed. b) The friend who says: I am with you unto the threshold of your grave and then I will leave you', and this is his children. c) The friend who says: I will be with you until when you die', and this is his wealth which will belong to the inheritors when he dies." Ali Ibn Abi Talib (ra) Says: "He who is deserted by friends and relatives will often find help and sympathy from strangers." Therefore, we can see the importance of Friends and Friendship in our lives. May we pray to Allah to make us of the righteous ones and give us companions that will take us away from His Wrath and lead us to His Pleasure and Paradise. Insya’Allah.
