"Blessed is He in Whose hand is the Sovereignty, and He is able to do all things; Who hath created life and death that He may try you, which of you is best in conduct; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving." Al-Qur'anul Kareem 67:1-2

O God bless our Master Muhammad (pbuh) who opened what had been closed, and who is the Seal of what had gone before, he who makes the Truth Victorious by the Truth, the guide to thy straight path, and bless his household as is the due of his immense position and grandeur.-Salatul Fatih

Causes of Pride and Arrogance

Seven qualities are considered to be the cause of pride:
1) education,
2) knowledge,
3) religious piety,
4) fame and nobility of one's family and descendents,
5) physical attractiveness,
6) physical strength,
7) wealth, achievement, and the number of ones admirers and followers.

In reality, none of these qualities need to be the causes of arrogance. On the contrary, they are positive values which every person strives for.

The real cause of arrogance is
"stupidity, and the inability to comprehend what is offered as knowledge." Yet there is no other medicine but knowledge to cure stupidity.
